Week 1: Reflective Teaching Blog

this is the first time I know  what blog means because I had no idea about it or even what can we do there.I feel I discouver something new and it wasn't that difficult to creat your own blog. I'm sure it will help me to keep in touch with my students. it is useful than other social media such as Facebook. I can discuss, give or correct  homework, projects;..etc of course to help them in studying and they don't need to wait until we meet.

  1. Hi Rabia,
I too feel I have discovered something new. I am not sure using a blog with our students can be more effective than Facebook (at least here in Tunisia). Almost all of my students have a Facebook account which they use daily. Nevertheless, I know for sure that if we teachers can properly encourage them to get on a class blog, that would mean they are there to learn and practice, and not just have a look at a Facebook group just out of curiosity then get on their way to chat with friends or comment on posts. So, our main goal would be to succed in making them interested in a given class blog we'd have created.

  2. Hi Mouna,

I do agree with your ideas. Students would never used blog with their daily life. They would find difficulty to create it. Moreover, it's not that fun for them to use blog class. On the other hand, if they experienced on using that blog, they probably will change theri thinking about it. Using blog class is more professional skills in learning nowadays.

  3. Hi Mouna,
I agree with you that it is a good tool to stay in touch with the student and for providing instant feedback.

  4. Rabiaa, Congratulations upon creating the blog! I also created mine and decided that I should check my classmates' progress! From my analysis, a blog is a fundamental tool for e-learning! Let's keep the learning zeal burning!

    1. Hi Daniel. Congratulation to you too.Actually, it will be one of the greatest ideas to integrate technology into the classroom because it becomes a part from education Also, i like the idea of checking classmates blogs, I feel just i'm keeping in touch with all ideas and opinions. For me, when I have read UsingBlogsintheClassroom. I noticed how using blogs as a writting tool develops the students' writting skill.I'm so excited about learning e-teaching in order to to apply it with my students. I'm quite ready to discover more

  5. Hello all
I’m totally disagreed. Students will not find it difficult to create blogs. They are more familiar with technology than us (teachers), at least here in my city. The only difficulty that we may face is how to make them interested about blogs rather than wasting most of their time on Facebook. We all know that Facebook has influenced our lives especially our young people.
I’m supporting Mouna’s idea''our main goal would be to succed in making them interested in a given class blog we'd have created.''. so,we are going to seek for how to push the students to use blogs and be excited about posting topics and comments

  6. I think you are right Rabiaa, for the students nowadays technology is a piece of cake. They have been born with technology incorporated. When I don`t know anything about computer or cellphones I ask them and they have the right answer for me. When I ask them I don`t feel ashamed because I am learning from them the same as they are learnin from me something different. They feel important and the relation teacher-student becomes stronger. I also support Mouna`s idea we have to motivate them to try the new things we want to make them be involved.
