Week 10: Wrap-up

I can’t believe that it is the last week; I was doing the two tasks with frightening. Tomorrow, I’m not going to do any task, I’m not going to read my classmates posts or comments what’s such bad feeling. Of course we never met but I feel just we were in the same classroom discussing together, listening to each other by using this great site Nicenet.
From the starting week1 until this week10, I have read greatest articles and topics, they all were and still most successful, useful and valuable for all of us as teachers and for our students.
It is hard to choose one tool; I’m going to try all these tools that I have learned with you in order to discover which work most with my students because the all tools are helpful.

I wonder if we could keep in touch with all of you to keep discussing, sharing our new experience after the program.

Week 9: Learning styles - technology connections

Something which I have not noticed is how learning style helps in using the appropriate technology tools. The latter push me to read more and more how to use technology in order to reach various learning styles students are easily going be engaged and interacted. Having learning styles test will help both teacher and students to know their abilities and capacities, for students to ease their way of learning and teachers to ease their ways of teach and understanding what kind of learners are teaching. This week I gained a lot of knowledge, information from all of you Courtney and classmates whoever, it was my worst week because I was too late in sending my final report and post in discussion I mean and I couldn’t believe what was going on.

Week 7: Learner Autonomy, the One-computer Classroom, and Mobile Devices

What a great week! It is something amazing to learn, to share, to discover and explore new ideas, experiences and wide knowledge from such great teachers. I feel I’m in a marathon but I don’t want to reach the final.
Learner Autonomy is a great idea to encourage your students to be because it lets them be independent, self-esteem, self-assessment and so many things. I hope to make all my students to be learner autonomy.

Using the one-computer classroom and mobile devices have great role to change the class environment of course to make the lessons more attractive and it will help all students to participate in doing activities. I'm so proud to be a member of ET-program

Week 6: Creating Student-centered Classes and Interactive PowerPoint

I always think how I can teach a large class but I used to find it something difficult. How I can teach many students, do they understand or how I can manage this kind of class? How I can be sure that all the students are in progress or whether they grasp the lesson or not. it is not the same when you teach  small classes . when I have read the articles  Enhancing Learning by Engaging Students, Interactive Lectures  and Using Technology in Teaching Large Classes . so, now I can depend on these information in order to help and guide me.

Creating a short PowerPoint is amazing thing that I have learned this week. Actually my students know more than me and sometimes ask them to help to be familiar with. This is my first PowerPoint. I’m happy to try it because I thought that it is really something difficult.

Week 5: Project-based Learning, WebQuests, and Rubrics

It is really a hard week, I feel just I’m fighting to do everything as much as possible. I’m trying to do it on time. I know this week I haven’t done great job but I’m grateful to learn and still learning and discovering new things with all of you. I have learned a lot from your sharing opinions and ideas. creating a rubric and webquest, this is the first time I learn about webquest and creating your own rubric. It is a great thing to help yourself as a teacher to create how you are going to evaluate your students  and being sure if they grasp the lesson or not and if there is any difficulties they are facing during the lesson. Webquest: during doing my wequest I just feel happy to do it and I imagine how can plan to do project and how to do it when you follow all steps that I have written. It is clear and easy to apply. I will to do my best not only learning but sharing these with all my pairs and my students. I hope that my country applies these in our educational system because our students and teacher suffering from doing project.

Week 4: Skill-building Websites for Reading/Writing Skills and Technology-enhanced Lesson Plans

My hardest week is Week 4. I really suffer during this week because it was hard to access internet and I was busy with my exams. It is really challenged thing because I’m keen to do all my best in my studying, my work and my ET program as well.
I’m still in my way to discover so many new useful things with you Courtney and my mates through sharing all these ideas.

Reading/writing skill-building is really exciting to help my students and me to discover these sites which are really helped to enhance their skills. I’m so impressed about the ideas and I find it helpful especially I have difficulties with my students to encourage them to enjoy writing

Create a technology-enhanced lesson plan: what I like most it is simple way to write your lesson plan; to provide all students’ need in a session and to come with successful results with students.
Describe a class issue or problem helps me to face all problems that my students suffer during class.
I think all these steps are related together to deal with class issues from different angles. thank you Courtney and my classmates

Week 3: Skill-building Websites for Oral/Aural Skills and Saving Bookmarks with Delicious

This week I have learnt  so many things. This is my first time I create delicious page. I like the idea where you can save bookmaker all sites you like to have wherever you are connecting from. Once I created it I started to share my favorite sites. Now I’m not going to worry about finding them.

Using technology tool to teach speaking and English skills is not new for me because I use to listen to songs and sing it with my students or   watch movies such as I ‘am Sam, The Blind Side, Freedom Writers or watch videos for few mints and discuss its subject or idea and But through E-teacher Program I discover useful and interesting links to teach listening and speaking skills. I have talked before about using blogs to teach my students but I was thinking how I could use it and finally during my reading Camilla’s sample project  which describes all details of her students behavior, classrooms and the technology equipment, I feel I’m ready to try it soon.

Week2:Web searching, ABCD Objectives and Describing a class

This week, I have learned new so many things. I’ll star with:  the ABCD objectives, Blooms’ Taxonomy where I’ve spent most time to read and read form many times. Actually I found it the most difficult and complex task I had. It was a really challenging thing to write you ABCD objective especially when I have read my classmates objectives that were measurable and observable. In my case, I wrote more than one behavior. During reading their objectives; they encouraged me to look more carefully to the ABCD objectives and understand how I can state one behavior because it was complex way. The only problem I had is failing to access the URLS. So I had to look in google http://www.edpsycinteractive.org/topics/cognition/bloom.html, http://teaching.uncc.edu/learning-resources/articles-books/best-practice/goals-objectives/writing-objectives, agsci.psu.edu/eLearning/pdf/objective-verbs.pdf.

Second, why do we need to describe our class? This is the first thing that came to my mind. I have discovered another thing which is how important and the role of the class environment (students, classroom objects, technology tools) and the latter what I’m looking for. I’m sure the use of technology tools is the exciting things that you as teacher and your students will be interested in.  And finally, Web searching where we have found all sites that we need to help and guide our students to use them. They are loads of sites that fit all levels in order to develop English language skills.  here are some of sites that i'm going to star using with my student and I advice you to use them too : https://archive.org   where you can listen and read books and poetry, http://www.publicradiofan.com/   to improve you listening skill,
http://www.americanrhetoric.com/    where you find ipmortant events, speech ...etc
Now, we have everything we need to start using them. I’m totally ready for what’s next.

Week 1: Reflective Teaching Blog

this is the first time I know  what blog means because I had no idea about it or even what can we do there.I feel I discouver something new and it wasn't that difficult to creat your own blog. I'm sure it will help me to keep in touch with my students. it is useful than other social media such as Facebook. I can discuss, give or correct  homework, projects;..etc of course to help them in studying and they don't need to wait until we meet.
